seppankilangu varuval

Ingredients (Serves for 2)

seppankilangu (taro / colocasia) - 4
salt - as needed
chili powder - 1 1/2  tsp
oil - 3 - 4 tsp



  • Pressure cook seppankilangu just for one whistle or cook the kilangu in boiling water for 20 mins
  • remove the skin and cut it into thin pieces
  • heat a heavy bottomed vessel with oil and add the cooked seppankilangu pieces
  • add salt and fry till the veggie becomes non sticky
  • add chili powder and saute till the veggie becomes dry and little crispier.
  • serve with any rice varieties and gravies.
