Tawa Fish Fry

Ingredients (8 pieces)

Fish - 8 small pieces (I used tilapia fillets)
red chili powder - 2 1/2 tsp
salt - as needed
turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
lemon juice - 1/4 tsp
vinegar - 1/4 tsp (optional)
egg white - taken out of 1 egg
oil - 6-8 tsp


  • Mix red chili powder, salt, turmeric powder, lemon juice, vinegar, egg white together and make a paste
  • Marinate the fish pieces with the paste for 30 mins. 
  • heat a tawa with oil and fry the marinated fish pieces.
  • turn the fish pieces upside down in between for even cooking.
  • fry till fish gets cooked and evenly fried on all sides. (Fish will get cooked in 10 mins)
  • Serve as a side dish for hot rice with fish curry / hot rice with rasam (lemon rasampepper rasam )
