Ingredients (serves for 2)
Paneer cubes - 1 cup ( 1 cup size = 150 ml)
big onion - 1/2
tomato - 2
green chilli - 1
ginger - 1 inch piece
oil - 5 -6 tsp
garam masala - 1/2 tsp
chilli powder - 3/4 tsp
pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
tomato sauce - 2 tsp
milk - 1/2 cup
salt - as needed
coriander leaves for garnishing
Method:
- Soak the paneer cubes in hot water and keep it aside.
- cut the onion and tomatoes to big cubes and chop the ginger, green chilli.
- heat a vessel with 2 tsp of oil, add ginger, onion and green chilli
- Fry till transparent and then add the chopped tomatoes
- cook covered until the tomatoes become mushy.
- cool it down and grind it to a fine paste.
- Heat a heavy bottomed vessel with 4 tsp of oil and add the grounded paste.
- Add salt, pepper powder, chilli powder, tomato sauce and garam masala.
- Mix it well and cook it in medium flame until it becomes like a thick paste
- Drain the water from soaked paneer cubes and add it to the mixture.
- mix it slowly to make the paneer blend nicely with the mixture.
- Now slowly add milk with constant stirring and cook it in low flame for 2 - 3 mins.
- Serve it as a side dish for roti / chappathi.
