Lachha Paratha




Ingredients (makes 6 parathas)

Wheat flour - 2 cups (1 cup size = 150ml)
salt - as needed ( I added 3/4 tsp)
ghee - 2-3 tsp
water - as needed


Method:

  • Mix flour, 2 tsp of ghee, salt and enough water to make smooth dough
     
  • divide into 6 equal balls. 
  • Roll each ball to a big circle, make as much as thin as possible. 
  • Spread ghee / oil over it using spoon. 
  • sprinkle some flour on it.

  • start making fleets as in the picture

 

  • twist and roll to make a flat round. 

 
  • roll it now without giving too much pressure to ensure the layers are still there.
  • Heat the tawa, drizzle some oil and cook the paratha in medium flame until golden brown.
  • Use the spatula and press the paratha while cooking to ensure even cooking.
  • Serve hot with Shahi paneer and raitha
