Semiya Kesari




Ingredients (serves for 2)


Vermicelli (semiya) - 1 1/4 cup (size = 150 ml )
sugar - 8 - 10 tsp
water - 1 cup
ghee - 3 tsp
cardamom powder - a pinch
cashews - 6 - 8 nos
food color - a pinch

Method:


  • heat a heavy bottomed vessel with ghee and add cashews
  • saute it for a minute and add vermicelli
  • let it fry for a minute and add water & food color
  • once the vermicelli gets cooked, add cardamom powder and sugar
  • stir continuously for 4 - 5 mins in medium flame. 
  • Switch off the flame when the ghee starts oozing out.
