Ladys' finger poriyal




Ingredients (serves for 2)

Ladies finger - 15 - 20 nos
grated coconut - 2 tsp
onion - 1/2
green chilli - 2 -3 nos
mustard seeds - 1 tsp
urad dal - 1 tsp
oil - 2 tsp

Method:


  • wash the ladies finger and pat it dry.
  • slit the ladies finger lengthwise and the chop. Chop the onion as well.

  • heat a vessel with oil and add mustard seeds, urad dal, green chilli, salt and onion.
  • Fry till the onion get transparent
  • add the ladies finger and saute it till the stickiness is gone and the ladies finger get cooked.

  • add the grated coconut, saute it for 2 mins and switch off the flame.
