Ridge Guard Fry

Ingredients (serves for 2):

Ridge guard (Peerkangai) - 1
oil - 3 tsp
chilli powder - 1 tsp


  • Peel the sharp edges of the Ridge guard's skin and cut it into small pieces
  • Heat a heavy bottomed vessel and put oil
  • Add the chopped ridge guard and salt (as per your taste). I added half a tsp.
  • Fry until it gets shrinked and add chilli powder. 
  • Leave it for 5 mins. Ridge guard will get fully cooked and it will nicely blend with chilli powder and oil. Switch off the flame.
