Lemon rasam




Ingredients (serves for 2)

lemon juice - 1/4 cup (1 cup size = 150 ml)
garlic - 3 pods
red chilli - 1
coriander leaves
tomato - 1/2
pepper - 1/2 tsp
cumin seeds - 1 1/2 tsp
rasam powder (optional) - 1/2 tsp
salt - as needed
oil - 1 tsp
mustard seeds - 1 tsp
curry leaves 

Method:


  • Grind garlic, pepper, 1 tsp of cumin seeds, rasam powder(optional) and red chilli
  • mix it with lemon juice and add salt, 1 1/2 cup of water
  • crush the tomato in hands and add it to the mixture
  • heat a vessel with oil and add mustard seeds, curry leaves, 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds
  • add the mixture and let it boil until it becomes frothy
  • garnish it with coriander leaves.
